Kyle Dixon

Executive Vice President

Kyle joined Sonny’s BBQ in 2006 where he learned the restaurant business by working all team member positions during high school and college. Kyle was promoted to management in 2008, before graduating from Saint Leo University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a management specialization. While in operations, Kyle was promoted to General Manager, Training & Recruiting General Manager, and later, Area Director. In 2019, Kyle co-founded iServ LLC and became Executive Vice President where he sits on the Board of Directors with oversite of the People Operations, Finance, and legal functions.

In 2014, Kyle became a Certified Sonny’s Pitmaster and competed professionally in BBQ competitions from 2015 – 2019. In those competitions, Kyle’s teams placed in the top 10 over 75 times including 11 first-place meat category finishes and a Florida BBQ Association Grand Champion finish at Mulberry. Kyle is also currently the only two-time grand champion of Sonny’s “Spirit of 68” BBQ Cook-Off.

Kyle has served as the Vice Chair for the Marion County Public School (MCPS) Culinary Business Advisory Counsel and was a member of Sonny’s Franchise Company’s Marketing Advisory and Research & Development Committees. He is currently the sitting President of the Sonny’s BBQ Franchisee Cooperative Association. Kyle’s other volunteerism efforts are centered on mentoring youth where he has offered advisement and has been invited to speak to classes at MCPS, Marion Technical College, College of Central Florida and Santa Fe College, coached local youth sports, and taught Sunday school at church.

Kyle has been happily married to his better half, Amber, since 2010. Kyle and Amber live in Silver Springs, FL. with their four children: Cadence, Easton, Emmett, and Maebry. The Dixon’s enjoy recreational sports, fishing, gaming, culinary experiences, trips to the mountains, and Gator athletics.
