Ken became involved in Sonny’s in 2001 when he and Chip Dixon had the opportunity to purchase 3 stores. Later that year they assumed operational control of 3 of Ken’s dad’s locations and 3 of Ken’s brother’s locations bringing them to 9 total locations. Ken’s primary role has been to oversee “all things having nothing to do with running restaurants”; which primarily consisted of oversight of the business, accounting, real estate, legal and all items not linked to the team member or guest experience. Ken and Chip’s partnership continued to grow and add locations until 2019 where it was decided to consolidate all 28 locations into one single holding company. iServ was formed and has evolved into a multi brand restaurant development and management company.

Ken’s experience prior to and parallel to Sonnys includes: graduating Mechanical Engineer Magna Cum Laude from the University of Florida, a 6-year stint with Procter & Gamble in various engineering and management positions, owning several manufacturing companies, a commercial real estate management and brokerage company, various real estate holdings and another restaurant concept. Ken enjoys numerous hobbies that include flying, hunting, fishing, skiing, automobile racing, racquetball, golf, and fixing broken things. He’s married to a remarkable wife, Suzanne, has three incredible kids (Austin, Preston, Laura), and one grandson (James), and serves on several charitable Boards.
